That night he had stayed awake for most of it, thinking on the wreck he had found in Blaze that eve. She stared out toward the water, lost within herself. She had not heard his approach, had not turned with her usual bright smile. Its like she wasn't there, her body nothing more then a phantom as her mind was lost to an inner demon he could not fight. Never had he felt so helpless – so far any threat at been something he could see, could sink blade or claw into. His fears on what was happening only mulled over and over in his mind, and as he walked toward her home in Talonridge - he could think on nothing other then the idea of taking her away from it all.

Already his decision was made - he walked now with a different sort of gate, it was not his usual proud elven step, and it wasn't his casual lycan's stride either. There was more intention and determination around it. His shoulders were square from tenseness, his blue elven eyes scanning his surroundings more then usual - as if trying to shake off prying eyes. As he grew closer, sharp vision quickly found her floating in the arms of a hammock, anchored to her home and a tree which showered her in a veil of pink petals. His heart ached as already he sensed her mood. She was in another daze, calmer at least – but here eyes were darker then he liked. She appeared so small and fragile looking, though he knew the hidden strength within. "Vedui, Eleni. How are you feeling?" He tried to make his features softer then he felt.

"Better...." she spoke quietly, though still there lay a vulnerability about her tone, one he did not over look. He could not help but frown. She was never so caught up like this before, she had always sensed some how when he was near, and yet she acted oblivious of his presence until he spoke. It only made him all the more worried and determined. "What were you thinking about?" he asked casually as he came forward until he was at her side - his hand reaching to touch her leg tenderly, giving it a gentle rub while she swung.

"I am afraid to tell you..." she murmured, barely loud enough for him to hear. He saw in her the reluctance and looked for the proper words. They had both promised not to hold back, to tell each other everything, so they could understand the inner workings between there minds. So much depended on it, including both their lives. "Afraid to tell me because of what I will think? or because you don't wish to think on it in general?" he pressed back the urge growing inside him to take her away from the danger he was helpless to fight. So torn was he to obey her wishes, never did he want to force anything on her - and yet now he wanted to go against it, make her his entirely, whether she approved or not. His heart ached watching her act this way, though he could not blame her for what happened in her past or what was happening now.

Alastair watched her eyes travel past him - looking to the mountains in the distance "Both..." she whispered and slowly met his eyes again "I...I have been trying to distract myself...I have this dark pull to go back to port, I cannot explain why though I guess what is inside of me wishes to bask in the energy of those runes....but I was afraid and in my mind I knew it was safest to stay away....but even here alone my thoughts drift to my past almost against my will." her eye line dropped almost as if she were ashamed, that she was admitting to having little control.

"I had a feeling you wouldn't be able to keep away - least you did this long." he responded, disheartened as a sudden urge to take control of the situation welled within. Now that his suspicions were confirmed and the danger made real - he reached to take her hand and then pulled her forcefully toward the house. He swung open the door and walk her inside, his eyes scanning the room. He started to pace around the room, grabbing items here and there, food, parchment, anything they might need during travel. "It time we left this place." he announced, not allowing her the option. "So gather anything you wish to bring, anything special to you, but not more then you can fit into a travel pack." His mind raced, thinking on those runes, the danger in Port. He couldn't let her stay with that thing playing on her curse, the deadly weapon inside. And he refused to looser her to it. Already it felt as though she weren't entirely there, her thoughts in some distant place. The woman he'd grown to love and appreciate was fading half into some oblivion.

He paused long enough to see her cling to the wooden frame of the door, unmoving - her knuckles white even against her pale completion as if she would anchor herself there. "I do not want to go....this is my home now!" she objected "why do I have to go? Why Týr? I do not wish to run away!"

He hated himself for this, for talking down to her in this way, he knew it wasn't entirely like him, but he needed to act this way, so she would feel the significants of his actions. "Because, the longer you stay the more danger you are in - and the more danger you'll put others in if you cant control yourself against that magic!" his words were stern. "Besides - its not running away." he added as an after thought, as if trying to convince her it wouldn't be long, though he would keep her as long as it took for this to pass. They were both long lived, they could return in a century when the evil passed "Think of it as a short get away, a vacation." He sighed and walked toward her, his lips searching to press on hers, a desperate passion and something pleading within it. It nearly made him crumble to her will – but he pulled himself together.

"Get a cloak and a mask to cover your face, nobody can know where we are going." he turned from her and continued to treat things like the two of them already decided on this together, though it was far from the truth.

"But what of Capri...your pack...we cannot leave without word...." she found a way to argue back no matter the finality of his words. It was like she wanted to tempt out his inner beast. Was she trying to test his patients on purpose? he thought as she continued. "Alexith will find someone to get rid of the runes...he has contacts and then things can return to normal and we can be happy here again..." she begged looking around her cozy home, he could tell from her tone she didn't wish to leave that sanctuary.

He half growled out. "Thats great, then when Alexith has done that and I get word, then we can come back, if thats what you really want." he retorted. "It doesn't matter, Capri, the Thal - they will be fine on their own, they come and go on a daily basis - do as they please regardless where we are, and they will just keep at it. Come here and put this cloak of yours on." he demanded, tossing it out over the bed. His tone was slightly laced with a gentle growl as she kept trying at his patients. She was still standing down stairs by the door. But that didn't stop him from gathering previsions.

"But I told...you told Capri that she was our family...this will break her heart!.....and when the pack finds out they will hunt you down Týr!!" she shouted angrily, stubbornly.

She was being impossible to reason with, he would have to resort to harsher words, remind her what he was capable of, no matter how the memory tore out his heart. "They wont find us, not where we are going, and we ARE going Blaze, this is one thing I wont give you a say in. Are you going to make this come to claws again? Because if you resist your only making things worse. Do you really want it to come to that?" He looked over the rail at her from the upper level of her cottage, his eyes shining with the feral glimmer, and indeed he was not lieing, he didn't want to force her that way, but he would try and subdue her, even if it meant bearing the brunt of her cold fire.

He watched her flinch and shake her head, her fingers tracing subconsciously over her healing wounds he had to easily inflicted mere days before. There was a flicker of anger in her eyes as she took a deep breath then climbed the stair to step past him and to the side of the bed - looking down at the cloak he had thrown out. "Can we not just wait, talk this through make proper plans...leave letters for those that know...what if they think I am dead? If we leave word, making some excuse they may leave us...but to leave no word they will think the worst!!" she tried one final time to reason with him, stepping towards him "please Týr!"

At the same time Alastair walked toward her, his frame towering - he had grown in size without even phasing, more imposing and powerful then a few moments before. Hie eyes still held a deadly sternness as he tried to dominate the situation "You asked me, made me promise that I would make sure you did not fall into the wrongs hands, you asked me to end you if ever it was let out. Well that is what I'm doing, I'm taking care of it before you get out of control. And no we cant tell anyone, because that means there is a trail to follow, and we cant have a trail. Get dressed because we are leaving." He walked back down the stairs, he would not coddle her, he was dead serious "Cloak and mask!" he reminded with a tone of authority "I will drag you out of here of you don't come willingly."

Reluctantly she picked up her cloak as he moved downstairs, she followed clasping it tightly, hugging it to her chest "I will come.." she said quietly, almost as if her spirit was broken, just like before. She stood like a ghost before him looking to the ground. It was hard to keep his mind together – so desperately he wanted to sooth her worries, to touch her and take away the negative pain with his gift. But now he didn't have that luxury. He had to be firm, and had to hope that in time she would forgive him. But even if she drove him away, at least she would be safe.

He tossed his own mask on and went to step outside, waiting for Blaze to follow when caught the scent of another, fresh - recently there. Had someone over heard all their conversation? The yelling as both fought to gain control? His eyes flared up with a primal rage, a territorialness as he stalked forward in the direction of the barn. That scent had not been there before. He only paused when he was overwhelmed with the smell of Blazes stallion, masking the scent he'd been trailing. His body stood there poised as he listened and watched carefully for the slightest hint of intrusion.

"Nice horsey.." He heard a feminine voice, one he was not so familiar with. The woman had been eavesdropping and worked her way into the hidden shelter of the barn at the back of the cottage. Perhaps she didn't expect the couple inside to exit so soon, they were caught up in a passionate argument after all. It was only to bad for this nosy neighbor - that she did not anticipated the males voice to be Alastair's, maybe then she would not have left such a clear trail, for it was no secret now that he was half lycan, not much escaped his keen senses and he was never to far from Blaze.

Alastair rounded the side of the house and looked into the stable. His face concealed by hood and mask. His chest was exposed, showing the tell tale color of his ashen skin and unique elven markings across it. His muscles flexed at the same moment his jaw clenched. And anger burning inside, but he kept suppressed. Not only was her trail easy to follow, but her bright blue dress made her a walking target. She could not hide it even in the darkest shadows at night.

The woman gulped rather loudly as she became aware of him. She arched her brows. Alastair knew her right away, Coletta, Alexanders little pet. Blaze spoke of her enough times in passing. She would regret living so close to the governess now. "Erm...was just admiring this horse here.." She stuttered as her cheek grew red. "Is there a fee for boarding here?"

He did not buy into her act of innocence, and even if she were, the phrase – wrong place at the wrong time- may have been an understatement. "I'm sure" he commented sarcastically and stepped inside, at the same time flicking up a dagger from his thigh. "Hold out your hands, in a fist together in front of you" he ordered.

Coletta looked toward the dagger in terror. "Why would I do a thing like that?" she mumbled.

“Because if you don't Ill will have to resort to other tactics and I cant ensure you'll live through it, now do as I say." his voice a deadly calm, but it was all in his eyes - the bestial creature that lingered under the surface of his skin. "That is no threat, it is a promise." he pressed.

Coletta slowly extended her arms, trembling hands forming fists. She closed her eyes tightly, and a wave of relief came over him, he did not want to harm her if he could help it. To many had he harmed and killed in his past, he didn't wish to start that old tradition. "Don't understand the need for all this..just wanted to..see horse.." She blubbered frantically.

"You don't need to understand" he snapped at her and placed the dagger between his teeth and started to wrap and tie off the rope around her wrists, pulling it tight enough that it would likely make the skin raw if she struggled to much. When he had that done he quickly stepped around her so that he could wrap the rope around her back so her hands were forced against her stomach. Then as though he'd done this many time before - kicked her feet from under her so that she'd fall to her knees, then he quickly tied around her feet so she could do nothing more then lay on her side.

Blaze rounded the corner, her eyes wide as she came upon the scene. "What are you doing?" he heard her shout. "Please Týr ! Just leave her be....I gave in did I not!" He winced inwardly. How much more of this pleading could he take? He held strong - but she probably never realized how close he had been to breaking that entire time. Each moment she spoke in the pleading tone it felt like a small knife was shoved into a section of his heart.

Coletta tilted her head trying to look past him to see where the voice had come from. Alastair thought he caught a glimmer of realization wash over her. Luckily his captive remained where he commanded her, trembling. Her cheeks were stained with tears as they flowed freely. Alastair had to push away the look of terror he saw in the womans eyes to focus on Blaze. "I cant have her following us" he turned back to Blaze a moment as he pulled out some clean bandaging. "You'll see why this is important soon enough" He knelt down to gag Coletta, then tied her to a section of the horses stall, just to make sure she couldn't squirm away.

Blaze stood there shaking her head, looking at him as though she no longer recognized the man she claimed to love. He saw a fear in her eyes, a fear directed at him. The last thing he ever wanted her to show toward him. She backed away to the porch staring out to the water, looking torn and contemplative.

"Come Blaze, we are taking this way, so nobody sees us pass through Port" his voice held an aggressive edge still but he tried to soften it for her. She snapped her head to him, staring at him like she barely recognized him. She remained there, frozen to her spot. He had no choice but to walk forward and take her hand, looking at her more gently "Please, come willingly" he tugged at her a bit to get her walking.

Coletta thrashed meanwhile in the barn, stirring Blazes stallion into a frightened whinny. He could hear her kicking the wooden floor. Blaze followed the sounds with a look of pain for the woman now bound against her will in the stable. She refused his hand and spoke commanding "Release her" she growled attempting to push him away from her. He tightened his grip on her all the more, any softness he was trying to gather went away as she tied to push him away, the action playing at the dominating side of his lycan half.. "I cant do that and I wont, you said you would come, so lets go then!" he tugged at her again, trying to make her submit at his side. His muscles flexed as he held back the beast inside.

Blaze lashed out with her hand, fear and aggression coming head to head inside of her now. She caught him on his exposed chest and almost as if in slow motion she waited for his reaction, wondering whether he would shift. Alastair saw her gaze leave as she thought back on some memory, perhaps memories of the last time she had provoked his primal side and paid the price. Without warning she suddenly sunk to her knees. She let out a cry of agony and looked up at him lost. "Don't touch me!" she begged, suddenly acting terrified.

Alastair grabbed at her as she fell, his arms lifting her up to cradle her against his chest. He winced at the feel of the cold chill threatening to engulf him with that familiar burning sensation, but his adrenalin was high enough that he could withstand it. He held her up in such a way that the warm of his chest connected with the exposed skin of her collar bone, his own gift trying to take away her pain. He started to walk with her briskly toward the ship in Port, taking a less obvious path "Don't worry about me." he tried to hush as he would walk off with her.

This time she didn't argue. He felt her skin prickling with that cold chill, he knew it was slowly consumed her and he felt her slip to temporary unconsciousness.
