((Forgive the rather pitiful tone, I have had a really hard day at work, feeling low...thought I would put my mood to good use and use it to guide me in a blog for Blaze :) ))
Noiseless steps took her across the port cobbles. It was just after day break and despite the first morning rays of light that fought to glimmer through the fading darkness, there was a chill in the air, the first real sign that winter was soon on its way. She would miss the swirling autumn hues.
There was not a soul in…

"The Chancellor is murdered!"
The exclaimation came from nowhere, amidst the chaos of trouble and conflict that seemed to haunt Tarrund on a daily basis the lone voice of the merchant guild master pierced through the shouts of anger and confusion.
Blaze looked up from the bloodied vampire upon the ground, her sharp tongue blunted in that very moment. All emotion was wiped from her in an instant, her face paling to that of a ghostlike appearance, raven hair flying behind her as she turned to se…

She could hear her own sobs echo about the cave walls; reverberating grief that could only hint at the misery she felt inside. She did not know how long she had sat there alone and crumpled in a dark corner, her face buried in her hands. She barely remembered returning there at all though the fresh blood on her hands told her she had made yet another desperate detour. She found it ironic that it had come to feel like home so quickly, inviting and welcoming after her doubts and misgivings and yet…

((Thanks to Alastair for his equal part in this! And yeah the title was because of that song! ;))
“You know I love you at your worst” he had replied with a roguish glint of his bright blue eyes and had reached for her hand, softly kissing the back of it and then pressing individual fingers against the full of his lips whilst those eyes held hers impishly. Yet she could tell before he even explained that he had things on his mind, things to tell her, advice to seek. She had smiled warmly in retu…

A small forlorn figure sat coiled tightly in the corner of the dank, shadowed cell. In such a confined space she felt the expanse of darkness all about her, clouding her mind and closing in to constrict any hope she held onto. She debated calling for Eoin, seeing if his mind would hear her and yet she shut the thought away, knowing such action would only make things worse and likely bring him too harm and she loved him too much to have him embroiled in this also. He had suffered too much in this…

She stood staring frantically down into the murky depths, heart hammering hard in her chest and her breathing laboured. With every blink she could not shake that eerie green glow from her sight and slowly sunk down to the ground trying to push away the overwhelming sense of fear…

I sit alone with my back against a tree. It is my tree, or so I have named it in my mind. It is a large creature with a twisted trunk and thick coiling roots broken through from the earth as if it were to come alive when no one saw. But for now it is still and sturdy, just the faint waver of its fledgling branches in the gentle breeze as they bristle gently back and forth, bursting with the pride of its new summer leaves. My fingers move gently through the grass beneath my palms, brushing past d…

((This was one of the most random and spontaneous RPs ever and SO much fun! The rules of the drinking games were simple, both Blaze & Gromil had 3 'lives' each. After each emote we had to roll Strong Stomach. Should we roll 500 or higher we 'survived' lower and we lost a life. once all 3 lives were used we succumbed to the power of alcohol and were defeated in the challenge! We did raise the tolerance level to 700 after a while as we were both seemingly very hardened drinkers!
WARNING!! Thi…

Blaze stood atop the guardians tower alone in thought. Morning was drawing near but yet the sky was still cast like a blanket of moody shadows over the landscape. A cool breeze rustled past her, rippling at her cloak and teasing strands of dark hair from its braiding so they whipped about her pale face. Her mind weighed heavily as she brooded on her alliegences, swirling and conflicted they prevented her from rest or respite until she decided what to do. She glanced back at a quiet Tarrund. It l…

A curious mist hung about the House of Skaersjborg, curling over the roof and about the doorway; even as the morning sun rose higher in the sky it maintained its eerie drape as if wishing to cloak the house from view. Inside I sat before the great table staring up at the rich tapestry of my family tree, alone with my thoughts and savouring the quiet relief. Still weakened from my recent grief and the invading healing process my arms rested loosely upon the arms of the ornate chair and my dark ey…

Nightmares....
...they have plagued me for most of my life, creeping into my mind like the cold hand of death, hesitating upon the edge of my consciousness waiting cruelly for the opportune moment to strike. When the weight of my waking life bears down upon me this is the time they choose to descend and in their torment add to my burden.
Sometimes their embodiment is the resurrection of horrors past, dark memories reconstructed in a frightening new guise. They are oft so vivid that my screams…

Standing upon the hillside, Blaze looked down upon the valley spread below. In the distance the realms of the wilds lay slumbering in the shadows of darkness. A rippling breeze crept up behind her, whistling forward between the trees, pointing an invisible path back to all that had been hers. Anyone standing below would have witnessed her imposing figure, sillouetted against the backdrop of an impending amber dawn, silken skirts and curling hair caught in the salty breeze that swept in from the…

A cautious figure left silently from the cavern hideaway. The stream of wild raven hair tumbling about pale uncloaked shoulders would indicate that the figure was wholly feminine. Rich dark garments clung to rounded hips, heavy skirts billowing in her wake as she slipped hidden amongst the shadows. Her mind wandered amid a fog of questions as her soft step took her blindly back to that same spot upon the hillside. She need not even look up as she found that her instincts knew the way as if a wea…

A feeble sun lingered lightly on the horizon, just managing to peep its glowing sphere between the sparsely lingering trees before it dipped away in an ever brief appearance. Deep beneath the snow capped mountain that overlooked the wide glassy expanse of the northern ice planes nestled an intricate cavern system, hollowed out in ancient times by dragons as a safe haven from the bitter winter blizzards. Within the darkest, deepest chamber lay Blaze; broken dazed and forlorn, wondering which veng…

((Felt like trying a blog from a first person perspective!))
Picking up speed I glided silently across the grassy planes heading toward port and home. The ground was soft and a little damp, cushioning my already soft tread as I strode onwards. The early morning dew glistened prettily as the sun began to peep over the horizon gradually burning away the scattered fog as it rose gracefully, casting pockets of light to brighten the diminishing shadows. All throughout the night I had sat alone besid…

((Huge thanks to Capri for allowing me to blog this wonderful piece of rp. As ever it is an absolute pleasure to rp with her, just wish timezones were more friendly! I have altered very little other than to flesh it out a bit. It is truely wonderful to sincerely find out vital information or piece things together totally IC, with no OOC info at all! The entire episode was rather long so I thought I'd do it in 2 parts, so here's the first, enjoy!))
The vampire sat gracefully down in her seat, a…

(( This is a further murmuring on the seldom spoken about 'episode' in Blaze's history and also a hint at why she cannot be present on the battlefield for the forthcoming battle....rl reason being it will be 2am for me and I have to work :/ ))
The room was bathed in a soft flickering light, shadows dancing upon the walls as she paced the room trying to abate her swirling anger. It swathed within her, coiling like a deadly snake ready to strike. Her cloak billowed behind her, the heavy fabric tw…

Finally alone, she slid into the chair next to him, the corner of the table between them with the room dark but for a single flickering candle which cast great shadows upon the wall. She lifted her dark pupils to meet his, sensing his need to stare into her soul, a growing habit that she did not quite understand. "What is it that forever draws my gaze?" she asks in a silken voice, her head tilting to one side. Looking back at her he grins with his reply, "Don't you know it?". She ponders for a m…

The mist parted like a ghostly curtain as she approached the outer gate. Pausing with one pale hand resting on its latch she turned to glance back. Blue-hued feathery smoke still billowed in the distance, twirling up to an angry sky that raged heavy with thunderous rainclouds. A light rain began to fall, a hesitation before the storm finally broke.
She knew the smoke came from the dragon’s wrath. Her unforeseen defeat of her captor had left him weak and penetrable, allowing the anger of Zenatho…

My Dearest Blaze,
For too long I have meant to write this letter. Too long have I hovered, quill over parchment trying to find the words. It is near impossible to convey to you the many feelings trapped within these fingers, itching to be released. I fear that once I start I shall not stop. Years of confusion, hurt and regret shall rain down upon this page, each ink-carved word deep with meaning. Each angry blot a hint at the many tears I have cried. And I am not one to cry. So simple and strai…
