- Life for Nerra as a young child was filled with love and family she still remembers fondly sitting by the fire as the sun faded away listening to her father and siblings telling tales of the adventures they had had and laughing at one another when the tales became to outlandish. But her favorite memory the one that shines brightest in the constellation of her memories is the one of just before her world was shattered. She remembers sitting in the small wooden throne her father had carved for her as he played the buffoon for his little princess. Mamma was making her favorite cookies for her tea party. The tea was her favorite as well Mint tea with honey. They had laughed and played the entire day away as her brothers were away hunting. It was not till well after dark and little Nerra had been tucked into her sleeping furs when the howls awoke her. Dark foreboding sounds still far off yet coming ever closer she could hear her father soothing her mother, the soft ring of steel as he checked the blade of the sword that had hung from the center pole of there families long house since she could remember. "Do'Scar take your sister to the river, walk as far as you can in the middle of the stream before you cross then you take Nerra and run don’t stop till you reach the cave we found last summer." her fathers voice stern but oddly pitched higher than normal, rushed as if scared; she had never known her father to fear anything and that scared her more than anything else. Not knowing exactly why she quickly gathered her most treasured items. A glass bead her mother had helped her make, a bit of rock she had found on a walk with her father the pink veins running through the milky white made her call it her fairy egg which in return always made her father laugh and tell her to make sure she kept it warm. Other memories went into a small pouch the beret her mother had given her on her last birthday bits of fluff and string the treasures of childhood. Soon Nerra found her self shivering and terrified as she was half dragged through the quickening stream of summer snow melt that ran not far from her village. Her brother quickly dragging her to the far side as the screaming started far off in the distance. Even as a child Nerra recognized them for what they were, the screams of death as her village fought for its life and failed. Nerra and Do'Scar her one remaining sibling managed to find their way to their grandmother’s traveling mostly during the day, hiding at night to try and sleep between the nightmare screams that rang within their dreams. Nerra and her brother slowly adjusted from the horrible nightmares, and over the next few years Nerra discovered she had a gift for music that her Grandmother nourished happy to see Nerra beginning to grow into the young woman she had seen in her all this time, and with her brother always finding himself in a scrap with locals, Nerra found she had a knack for healing. But Nerra became restless wanting to discover what more life had to offer. One day while she was exploring Golden Rivers, she noticed the most handsome male of her kind working at local Inn called The Green Griffin, she knew she must get the chance to meet him and it was not long before she had managed to gain employment with the two brothers who owned the inn, who snickered knowingly behind their hands when they thought Nerra or their own Denshar not looking. Eventually Denshar stole Nerra’s heart with his wit and charm and they married soon after and lived happily with Felix and Torvald the two brothers who had raised Denshar ever since finding him half starved on the side of the road until the fight that killed the brothers sent Denshar and Nerra off into the world to find a new life far from painful memories, that still at times haunt their dreams each their own fears each their own strengths. Surviving together, the still center of each others world found in one another's hearts.
