- Halo first came to Ravenscraig a wandering gadje, broken and shattered. What she found here is what she always has sought.. a home. a familyia. Romani is her blood, tried and true. It's not an easy life at times, but what life worth living ever is? Yes, she's been 'engaged'. Yes, she's been in love. Yes, she is strong. Yes, she will continue on.
She had no idea her life would take its current path. A new blacksmith on the farm.. older, yes, but still captivating of her, stole her heart. He returned her feelings, and has asked the Romani to become part of the familyia so they could wed. He was not so gently turned away... But every time he called for her, she answered. Each time he needed her, she was there. Even when summoned to the depth of the dreaded Keep in Tarrund. His changed appearance didn't change her love for him... again, they were to be together. And then, he was gone. Gone forever, she believed. She, too, fled, to search for him, only to return when word of her pena, Kali reached her. She returned alone, as she had not been able to find him.. alone as one with child can be. She delivered the child early, but she was strong and stubborn, like her mother. She kept the father's identity to herself for a time.. until... he returned. Fabian was back, and still swore of his love for her, and wished their marriage to take place. Leaving all she knew behind again, and being cast away from the familyia for her love for him, and wish to be his wife, the child by her side, she has gone to be with him in Ravenfall. They plan their wedding while Nadya, their daughter, is kept safe by a family of friends Halo had met on the spice trail, while the city is built from the ground up.
What lies next in the cards for this one? She smiles to herself and tucks the cards back into the folds of her skirt. Time. Time will tell. She turns and heads back to the sounds of the camp wakening, and hungry. "The breads will kek bake themselves, nor will the meal....." she thinks to herself before taking one long last look around, and being thankful for what she has been blessed with. Content, if only for missing her beloved daughter, she heads into the tent to begin the day's work, to help make their dreams all come true.
