Some lore questions...

Hi all...=). I am new to Karamoon and I have some general questions regarding the lore or type of creatures roaming around in Karamoon. I am trying to weave my characters background history together and wanted to make sure I was in line with what the standard roleplay is for the sim. I may add more to this later lol so please bare with me.



Can you be born a werewolf or is it passed though being bitten? If you can be born a wolf, do you need so much pure blood to be able to change? Silver a no no?

Same kinda questions for Vampires. Born? Made? Can you be half and half? Sunlight=bad? Garlic ? etc etc
Yes I know the RPS system doesnt allow for that. This is just for my curiosity sake. =)

I'll address the lycan issue from my viewpoint. Yes you can be born a werewolf according to some fiction. My character was born a lycan but he is based on a lycan figure from North American Indian Lore and not the classical European Werewolf. He is not allergic to silver. The classic 'cursed' werewolf from European lore is allergic to silver and became that way through a bite. However more contemporary fiction/lore also allows for natural born werewolves.

The take I've applied now that I'm building a pack in Karamoon is that there are natural born lycans (most are allergic to silver but there are some exceptions), there are the cursed (almost always allergic to silver), and the animal born (animals that have developed a were form through either magic or being bitten). We only have one animal born at the moment and they are not allergic to silver.

For half breeds, yes the amount of blood matters and I would suggest it be a general rule for all mixed bloods, if you have less then half of a racial blood you are likely not going to have the full abilities of that race or they will be very muted and grow more so the less blood you have. For someone with a 1/4 lycan blood, can't shapeshift but has bestial traits (body hair, unibrow, temper, etc.).

I read alot hehe. Although for Kit, even though I say he is an Amerind Skin Walker in truth there is not a lot of lore on skin walkers so I had to base a lot from the mix of horror movies, fantasy novels and anime I originally based the character on.
