Hi all...=). I am new to Karamoon and I have some general questions regarding the lore or type of creatures roaming around in Karamoon. I am trying to weave my characters background history together and wanted to make sure I was in line with what the standard roleplay is for the sim. I may add more to this later lol so please bare with me.
Can you be born a werewolf or is it passed though being bitten? If you can be born a wolf, do you need so much pure blood to be able to change? Silver a no no?
Same kinda questions for Vampires. Born? Made? Can you be half and half? Sunlight=bad? Garlic ? etc etc
Yes I know the RPS system doesnt allow for that. This is just for my curiosity sake. =)
Lore in Karamoon/Ravenscraig is something sorely lacking and I'd love to see created just for questions like this. I believe, and some of you admins please feel free to correct me, is that race creation is fairly freeform in that if you write in in a character creation notecard and its approved by an admin then its legit.
I'm hoping by bringing a touch of D&D that perhaps I can help fill in any lore potholes.. Nobody likes running storyline then suddenly hitting this tire sized plot hole and having to send their plot to the dealership..
I am really open to other peoples story lines. So leeway doesnt bother me at all. I just try to stick to what's standard when I create a new character. Sova is basically a blank slate right now and I am excited to be able to fill in her pages so to speak. lol.
Well while I'm not a Karamoon/Ravenscraig admin I am the owner to a new region of Ambrea being constructed and I do LOVE lore so if you would like someone to help you flesh out your character then I would be more than willing to help.
I believe you can be born as werewolf / lycan but you should wait for their replies. Same goes for silver but I know James doesn't like it *evil laugh*
Vampires can be born, others can be made with ritual (drain full blood, give blood). They are daywalkers (meh), garlic, holy things and others depend on one. I know Skaers(don't mind the nick ;P) are resistant on holy things.
I roleplay a half (vampire/human) but I'm weak on holy things. Garlic just smell bad for me, yuk!
When in doubt, go traditional, since you'll find a lot of things out there on strengths, weaknesses, and more, and thus you don't have to think of these things yourself. This is especially helpful if you are a new roleplayer or just trying to feel out a sim and there is no standard races, so to speak. In fact it can sometimes be a nice change to see traditional vampires or werewolves running about when there is so much freeform.
